This book is a phenomenal resource and by far the best book out there on A.E. Backus. While often more expensive than most, it is a 300 page full color book that captures the rich history of Backus and his artwork.

OLIVE DAME PETERSON. FIDELITY PRESS, 2003.

The precursor to the Kuzmanovic book, this book was one of the first in depth looks into Backus story and history. This 127 page book features some of Backus' most popular works, as well as his life told from a friend and confidant to make a worthy tribute to the Dean of Florida Landscapes.
